Discipline, King of the Lake Point Details: Points will be maintained for each discipline to crown time trial, dual slalom and Super D champions. The King of the Lake will be determined by combining the points from each individual discipine. Riders competing for the "King of the Lake" title must compete in the same class in each discipline.
In case of rain: If rain is forecast for the entire weekend, racing may be postponed to a later date. If rain is forecast for Friday or Saturday, then the dual slalom race may be moved to Sunday afternoon. If the dual slalom race is moved to Sunday, then Super D competition will be limited to one run rather than the best of two. Check the BMCC Forum for updated schedules; schedule changes will be posted by Friday at noon the day before the event.

Dual Slalom Format: Racers will qualify using one lane. The fastest qualifier will be staged against the slowest qualifier, second fastest against the second slowest, etc., with the faster qualifier having choice of lanes. A single elimination format will be used. Click here to view the dual slalom schedule.
Super D Format: Racers will leave at one minute increments. The best of two runs format will be utilized. (Single run format if the Dual Slalom event is moved to Sunday.) Pee Wee class riders will have a separate start area with a course distance of 0.25 mile to 0.5 mile. Click here to view the Super D schedule.

Pay Dirt Points:Great mountain biking trails don't build themselves! The King of the Lake points structure includes Pay Dirt points for approved trail work. These points count toward the overall championship points for each discipline and ultimately toward the King of the Lake championship. Earn Pay Dirt points by participating in trail building and maintenance days at W. Kerr Scott Reservoir. Work days typically are held on the first Saturday or Sunday of the month; check the BMCC Forum for details. Riders living more than 1.5 hours from Kerr Scott can earn points working on their local trails. The due date for pay dirt points is September 5th. E-mails must be received by 5 p.m EST on this date. Please send pay dirt emails to mhadams2@charter.net.
